We’re brimming with creativity after our trip to the Big Apple! We have pounded the pavement and left “no stone unturned” in New York City to bring you the latest styles, most recent jewelry industry updates and the very finest vintage and estate jewelry finds… all just in time for fall!
After a few days of meeting with vendors, attending board meetings and expanding our inventory we can confidently report three big facts.
- Gold is back
- Retro is hot and
- Dresses are THE thing to wear next season.
All eyes will be on your neck this fall, so now’s the time to invest in an eclectic pendant or brooch and a beautiful chain. They will become an absolute staple of necessity in your wardrobe and will be the perfect accessory for fall; especially when you pair them with a feminine casual dress. Check out the newest additions, like the beautifully carved amethyst and diamond Buddha pendant or the 1.20 Carat Diamond Gold Pin Pendant on our 1st Dibs storefront. https://bit.ly/2aHjupF
We also recommend that you take inventory of your jewelry box. You never know when a previously loved item could be your next source of funding for a fun new “must-have” piece to complete your seasonal look. Plus, if you haven’t updated your appraisals within the past 2 years, you’ll want to contact our office email@example.com to have your items appraised and inspected for maintenance.
Also on our trip, we attended the American Gem Society’s Circle of Distinction Award Dinner at the prestigious Plaza Hotel. We were joined by the most prominent members of the Jewelry industry and enjoyed honoring and recognizing so many notable achievements. In particular, the event celebrated the work of three well-known and highly-respected industry professionals. Dione Kenyon, past president of the Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT), received the Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes those who have made significant contributions to the industry throughout their career.
Both Stewart Wicht, president and CEO of Rolex Watch USA, Inc., and Hank Siegel, CGA, president and CEO of Hamilton Jewelers, received the AGS Triple Zero Award – which is named after the highest grade in the AGS Diamond Grading Standards.
